If you're not getting the accept promt, then it has to be something with your security settings. You need to see and accept the certificate to be able to log onto the chat server.

Nope as i said there is next to nothing protecting this comp so security cant be the issue. Thats why im asking if there is anything i would be required to do now that i wouldnt in the old chat.

No, if you used the old chat everything should work fine. All you need is java installed.

Could the fact this comp is running on win95 affect anything?

I'm typing this to inform everyone that if a banana is orange, throw it back. Unless it's a very big cheeto. If it is, then throw it back harder.
